I'm still trying to get a handle on this blogging thing by reading other posts. Seems it could be a useful tool for collaborating, keeping in touch, maybe as an alternative for email; entertainment, a running commentary for public consumption, jokes, information sharing, preaching, teaching. Many of the blogs seem to be simple outlets for journalizing, venting frustrated creative activity as an unseemly sharing of personal experiences. The new alternative to forums and bulletin boards? Blogs pose a problem to me: which ones are worth reading? Can I find "quality" pieces, or is this just another place to waste time wallowing in the information glut? I suspect these are common thoughts forced on any reader by the nature of this medium.

Guess it's time for me to catch up on all this.
